The LZ165 is our newest high performance Worth Data bar code laser scanner. This new LZ165 laser costs less than any of our older generation Laser Imagers or CCD scanners, yet it offers even better performance - it is the perfect entry level barcode reader. Scanned bar code data appears as though it has been typed in, so any program that can accept data from the keyboard will accept data from these laser scanners. It can attach to any USB port on a WindowsÆ PC or MacintoshÆ, or as a second keyboard on your PC. Just scan a bar code and the data will appear wherever your cursor is placed.
The LZ165-USB will operate as a USB HID keyboard device on any PC running Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP, NT, ME, 2000, or 98SE as well as Mac OS. No special drivers or software is needed.
The LZ165-WDP will operate as a keyboard wedge and attach to the PS/2 keyboard port of any PC using a 6 pin keyboard via a Y-Cable.
LZ165-USB/WDP Overview:
LZ165-USB/WDP Details:
This high performance Worth Data® laser scanner has our bar code decoder built right into the "point-and-shoot" triggered laser gun, so no separate decoder box is needed.
The laser engine scans across a barcode at 48 times per second until a "good read" occurs, so reading is instantaneous. Data is then transmitted to the computer as though it has been keyed. The design of this laser makes it a perfect fit for any hand held bar code scanning with its user friendly design and ergonomic handle this scanner can comfortably be used all day long. Our optional hands-free stands are also available to use with these lasers to allow presentation scanning and easy switching between hands-free and handheld modes.
The LZ165-USB/WDP scanners will read standard 1D bar codes with ease and can even read very high density bar codes with a nominal bar width of just 3.5 mil (.0035" - 0.089mm), which is equivalent to an 17 CPI Code 39 bar code!
Range same as LZ160.
Bar code types supported include UPC/EAN, UCC-EAN 128, Code 39, Full ASCII Code 39, Code 128, Codabar, MSI Plessey, GS1 DataBar Variants (RSS-14), ITF Interleaved 2 of 5, Standard 2 of 5, Bookland EAN, and Code 93. The reader auto discriminates automatically.
This laser is designed for all day use and features our lightweight ergonomic gun housing, a rubber bumper to protect the unit, a tough scratch resistant exit window that is recessed , plus a field replaceable cord that is engineered to withstand over 1 million bends - all designed to give the user years of trouble free scanning.
The LZ165-USB/WDP reads a 100% UPC barcode at 10", has a 2 year warranty and is only $179.00 including a USB or PC Keyboard Y-Cable.
